In acknowledgment of the ban a school in Massachusetts recently placed on the playing of tag at recess because it was "damaging to the self esteem of the students", Elle Dee has chronicled some of the games she and her classmates played as children that were worse than tag. President Bush has today signed the bill to create a 700 mile fence along our southern border. But unless it gets properly funded, it will never be built:
But the new fence at the centerpiece of the Secure Borders Act may never be built, as only a portion of the necessary funding has been approved. Estimates for more than 1,000 kilometers of fence range from $6 billion to $8 billion. Congress has so far approved just over $1 billion for a fence that would cover nearly one-third of America's border with Mexico.

Noted Second Amendment scholar and author Alan Korwin has pulled from the archives this bit of historical flotsam to remind us of the Five Year Plan for Gun Control that floated widely among the left during the Clinton Administration. Attempts have been made to legislate some of these into law and others are promoted actively by the gun ban lobby.
