Anyone who says that a desire to secure our southern border is born of racism is a liar.  This is exactly why we need a fence much like Israel has deployed (and that the new Democratic majority has basically sworn not to fund) that will not only stem the flow of drugs and people but help the border patrol monitor the border more effectively:

 A U.S. Border Patrol entry Identification Team site was overrun Wednesday night along Arizona's border with Mexico.

According to the Border Patrol, an unknown number of gunmen attacked the site in the state's West Desert Region around 11 p.m. The site is manned by National Guardsmen. Those guardsmen were forced to retreat.

It wouldn't be the least bit surprising if some of those gunmen were Mexican federalis escorts.  We are having armed excursions coming across our border from which we are retreating. 

In the meantime, you can do your part by helping Texas monitor their border via the web.  Or even volunteer to be a border observer with the Minutemen Project.

A serial killer is on the loose in Atlantic City.  So far, he has five known victims, all of them prostitutes.  There is even speculation that the Atlantic City perp is the same one who committed 5 murders in England and is known as the “Ipswich Ripper.”

In the meantime, while the police do their job as historians and try to assemble the known facts and hope they can find a trail that leads to the murderer, what’s a working girl to do in AC to stay alive?  Will the police defend them and keep them alive?  Well just last October, a Camden judge has reaffirmed the fact that the police have no duty to protect individual citizens.  The Supreme Court has stated this fact many times over.  So the prostitutes are doing the logical thing that any biological entity does to preserve its own life:  prepare for defense.   That’s not so easily accomplished here in New Jersey.  Nearly every means of self-defense is illegal.  So the prostitutes are ‘arming’ themselves with the only thing they legally can:  mace.

Photographer Kyle Cassidy has been photographing gun owners in their homes since the 2004 election cycle and has published a number of them on-line.  It puts a face on gun owners and challenges the slanderous stereotype promoted by the gun grabbers of gun owners being redneck racists.  Be sure to scroll down for the comments by the subjects.
