Angel Shamaya who is the founder of KeepAndBearArms.com has reportedly been arrested on various gun charges.

 David Codrea of the suitably named War On Guns blog is the main clearing house on Angel news.  He reports that Angel is out on bail. 

Geek reports that the Angel was arrested at home on possession charges. Appeals have been made since before he made bail for or character witness statements but I agree with Geek and think that is way premature. 

 He reportedly has capable legal defense now courtesy of the SAF and wisely has been advised no to talk to anybody pretrial.

 He's charged with 4 counts misdemeanor possession of unregistered firearms and 1 frivolous, unwarranted, vindictive count of misdemeanor menacing.

According to the NRAILA, ownership of a handgun requires that you:

No state permit is required to possess a rifle or shotgun. Every person within the state who owns or obtains a handgun, in any manner, must present the handgun to either the city chief of police or the county sheriff of the locality where he or she resides. A certificate of safety inspection will then be issued containing a description of the handgun inspected and the name, description and signature of the possessor. A person who presents a pistol for a safety inspection shall ensure that the pistol is unloaded and that the pistol is equipped with a trigger lock or other disabling mechanism or encased when the pistol is presented for inspection.
