The gun grabber lobby would like the public to believe that if there were no guns, there would be a drastic reduction in violent crime and murder. Especially they promise a reduction in events of mass slayings (eg. Columbine). But as in all things, when there is a will, there is a way. If you take away a man's gun, if he wants to kill or rob or rape, he'll do so with alternate means. Case in point: six people in were recently found having been beaten to death with a hammer in Pennsylvania. Must have been a claw-hammer, the assault weapon of the hammer world.
While their Brady's are peddling their ignorance and fear, violence goes on all around us as it has throughout human history. But they continue to ignore that legal gun owners are about the safest and most responsible demographic we have with CCW holders committing crimes at a fraction of the rate of the rest of the population or even of the police. Hell, according to the Florida Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission, you are twice as likely to be attacked by a wild alligator than by a Florida CCW holder. |
