John Corzine's honeymoon with the voters of NJ is now officially over. Hey, don't blame me, I didn't vote for him. But there does seem to be a lot of buyer's remorse going around. There are fears that his budget might not even pass muster in the senate.
In this year's main event, Tom Kean Jr. is still leading Menendez by 2% this week according to Strategic Vision. Previously, the conventional wisdom among NJ democrats was that early polling showing Kean leading was due to several democratic challengers splitting the vote. Back then there were three democrats making noise about running. It's been months since all but Menendez dropped out but that lead is still there. However, Kean may have picked up a challenger in John Ginty. Word on the street is that Ginty is an upstanding pro-Second Amendment conservative. I still don't know Kean's position on Second Amendment civil rights. I just hope they don't cannibalize each other during the primary.
