Last February, two border patrol agents while pursuing a drug smuggler who was carrying 800lbs of drugs in his van, took to ground and chased him on foot as he ran for the border. Shots were fired and one agent went down. The other agent seeing his partner go down and a seeing a shiny object in the drug smuggler's hand, fired. The drug smuggler hopped the border fence and got away. How were the agents rewarded for protecting our borders and our streets from drugs?
Were they given a commendation for running the riff-raff out? How about a medal? Neither. How about 20 years confinement in federal prison...each. The drug smuggler? He got free medical care for the bullet in his ass in El Paso, TX.Another surprising detail I learned from that article that it is against border patrol policy to pursue illegals. WTF??? |
