The NRA endorsed a NRA F rated Republican candidate for the governor's race in Florida before any Democrats had declared. Now an A+ rated Democrat is in the race. Way to go NRA. This is not the way to bring moderate democrats into our movement. The NRA really needs to learn to separate its single-issue focus from partisan politics. Especially during an election year. Link via Say Uncle
[UDPATE] Dave Codrea makes mention of another NRA-A rated candidate who: does not believe the Second Amendment is an individual right; he opposed concealed carry in the state of Michigan; and he voted in favor of mandatory trigger locks
I often make use of the NRA ratings for candidate comparisons but only because they tend to be more comprehensive and cover most races. I put much more faith in the GOA rating system. [UPDATE] Also via Codrea, the NRAWOL has some harsh words for the NRA. |
