David Hardy points out this Wikipedia entry on the Joyce Foundation.  This entry may not stay up for long in its current form once the liberalizing forces of Wiki's 'editors' get their hands on it.  The Joyce Foundation which was established about 60 years ago to "improve the quality of life in the Great Lakes region”, since 1993 has been one of the principal funders of the national gun control movement in America.  In the last 10 years, they have funded the Violence Policy Center alone to the tune of $4.2 million and fund much of the phony gun control "scholarship"  that occurs in this country.

The victim disarmament industry likes to pretend that they are the mainstream with widespread grass-roots support across the nation.  However, the facts are, that without big liberal money like the Joyce Foundation and George Soros, there would not be a viable gun control movement.  This diagram illustrates the funding pattern of the Joyce Foundation and how they support almost the entire anti-gun infrastructure nationally.
