The WaPo is claiming that the NRA is trying to take have a lower profile on the national stage this year and is instead focusing on battles at the state level.
One state that is noticeably absent from the story though is New Jersey. We have more than our share of onerous laws that need to be overturned. New Jersey has so far been absent from the NRA's ongoing Mix N'Mingle campaign. I attended the NY State Mix N'Mingle where I asked them to hold a similar event in NJ and have even gone so far as to ask one of the NRA's board of directors to hold an event in NJ. So far, we are still not on the tour.
[UPDATE] At the same time, it looks like the enemies of liberty are planning a campaign at the state and local level to inflict their agenda upon us.
At the same time, it appears the Democrats have become more competitive in rural areas despite their radical, anti-gun platform. That sugar coating seems to be working.
