Is it possible? Can it be? Has the average NJ voter finally had their fill of corruption? I only ask because with Menendez's recent scandals, Tom Kean Jr. is pulling ahead in nearly every poll. Menendez has lost anywhere from 2% to 11% from his standings as of about a month ago.
What does this mean? Well, most likely it means we can expect a Jersey Switcheroo in the near future. We'll end up with either Dick Codey or James McGreevey. McGreevey??? Yeah, why not. The man has been successfully rehabilitated by the media. 77% of New Jersey voters believe
the only reason McGreevey resigned was because of gay discrimination.
He has retroactively been cast as a victim. Either NJ voters have a
really short memory or they really haven't had their fill of corruption
after all.
[UPDATE] I've heard on the radio that McGreevey said that he intends to retire to a private life away from the limelight after this book tour is complete and that he pledged not to run for public office again.
