A Canadian member of Parliament Garry Breitkreuz has released some gun crime statistics collected since the passage of the Canadian gun registry that were intentionally withheld by Canada's national statistics agency, Statistics Canada.

Among other statistics is this one:

OF THE TWO-MILLION LICENCED GUN OWNERS IN CANADA

• 111 (0.00555%) Used their firearm to murder someone

Even in Canada as we see elsewhere, gun owners are among the most law abiding citizens in the country and aren't abusing their right to bear arms.
