The denial of our Second Amendment human rights isn't the only reason to pine for far off lands and other states. New Jersey is a mess economically as well. We've all heard about the hundreds of new taxes and spending hikes Corzine rammed through, the multi-billion budget deficit that was temporary propped up only by virtual of the by the tobacco settlement cash which is now all gone, the growth of state employment rolls, and the 17% increase in sales tax that they tried to dupe us with by selling it as a 1% increase. But just how rate vs. other states? Just how much of a mess is New Jersey in...relatively speaking?
Well, the Tax Foundation has that very data and it is worse than expected. I could quote all of the depressing details but I'd just end up plagiarizing the whole article. I'll just link to it instead. I really find me asking myself why am I paying so much to live in a state that sees fit to deny me my rights?
