As expected, DC has asked the DC circuit court to review last month’s decision calling parts of the DC gun ban unconstitutional. Significantly, this decision also called the Second Amendment an individual right. An en banc hearing as I understand it is the next step of appeal before taking it to the Supreme Court although this article says DC could have appealed directly to the high court. Oral arguments should start sometime this fall.
