NPR listeners in a recent poll said they "would fire a gun at someone to protect protect their families" by a stunning margin of nearly 3 to 1. Those NPR listeners better get on board defending the Second Amendment while they can still buy a gun with which to defend their families and keep it at the reday. The desire to defend one's life and family transcends party or ideology at the individual level. Most individuals when push came to shove would rather have a gun and not need it than need a gun and not have one.
