New Jersey legislators are falling behind in their preceived duties to ban tools that may be used to harm other living creatures:

 A 77-year-old man killed his wife and then himself with a commercial-grade nail gun, police said Tuesday.

A blanket ban on nail guns could have prevented this senseless tragedy.  Nail guns have no purpose other than killing people.  And hanging roofing shingles.  The humanitarian cost for having these dangerous implements of construction in circulation outweighs any good their proponents believe they bring to society.  Just think about it.  These nail guns can fire 3 1/2" framing nails at high velocity just as quickly as you can squeeze the trigger!
