Mikulski Breaks Ankle, Awaits Surgery

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Barbara A. Mikulski (D-Md.) broke her ankle in three places as she was walking down steps on Sunday evening. She is at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore awaiting surgery on her ankle.

“Thanks to the wonderful team at Mercy, I am receiving excellent care for my broken ankle,” Senator Mikulski said. “This is the kind of care I want for all my constituents. And while I am following doctors’ orders, I can’t wait until I’m back on both feet – continuing my work for quality, affordable health care for every American.”
