Cool airsoft

besides green gas which contains propane. many airsoft guns are sold that use C02 cartridges.

Glad this has helped you, I remember repeating this to you in CPC and how much it has helped me.
I'm also happy it being passed along, like it was to me. I would have never thought of doing this on my own.

My routine for dryfiring was to unload the gun in an area away from the area where I was going to dry fire. I would then take the gun to the dry fire area (living room) and place an IPSC target against the wall. Then I would dry fire.
When done, I would remove the target and put it away. I would then go back to where I left the ammo and reload.

Dry firing was never done without the target and the target was never put up 'til the gun was unloaded.

Just a suggestion.

I know for a fact that Glocks are ok to dry fire, says so in the manual.

I like the idea for drilling dry fire with a dime or empty casing balanced on the slide, good idea.

Those of you who are interested in practicing "running and gunning" should really look into participating in USPSA or IDPA competitions. $10 entry fee, 3 magazines, a weapon holster and a magazine holster is all you need to start in IDPA.

Either one will let you practice quick draws from holster and firing, firing while moving, firing while moving to/from cover, crouching, etc.

Here's the one I go to:

Default Dry Firing is perfectly safe

I have no idea how many thousands of dry-fires I have on each of my center-fire handguns. I suspect the number is at least in the tens of thousands. I also believe that at least some modern rim-fire firearms are safe to dry-fire, but I do not do it with anything that I own.

As mentioned before USPSA and IDPA are good places to hone gun handling skills. If you are interested in USPSA shooting, Old Bridge Rifle & Pistol club (obrpc.org) runs two "practice" matches on the first and third Friday of each month, and a full match on the fourth Sunday of the month.
