Cool i here ya'

i see what you're saying. It isn't a serious concern of mine, I just like to have options. I'm all about having the same loads in my mags. I mean that I like being able to choose my ammuntion setup IF time persists. For instance, I have my SHTF rifle loaded up with FMJ's but have hollow-points on hand in spare mags, for situational condition changes.

Where I am allowed to carry I have my gun loaded with HP rounds and have another mag with FMJ rounds. They give me flexibility.

Ruger P89 in the old sock drawer with 124 grain +P Gold dots and an Ithaca M37 riot model in the closet with 00 Buck. I think I'm good.

I hear stories about Grand-Daddy keeping a shotgun loaded with salt, then bird then buck. In his immortal words "If I needed the Buck, he needed killin"

I myself have a mossberg 500 with tactical buck shot and a XD45 13+1 JHP. I need more than that, I'm in trouble.

The Judge By Far! 2 rounds of 410 followed by 45 Long Colts will do the trick!

I agree 100%.
I have 000 buckshot and #4 shot as well as LC's
The #4 is actually Federal Premium handgun ammo.
At "in the house" distances its perfect, I'm not looking for National Match accuracy.
