Dear President Obama,

Congratulations! You've done it!

You have made really noticeable change a reality. You have made a "Big Splash in the pond". There are tidal waves moving outward from your presidency in almost every direction.  We see real estate plummeting, the stock market plummeting, your cabinet picks seem to be worse each passing day.  It reminds me of what another famous African-American actor said in a movie: "You are perhaps the dumbest smart person I have ever met in my life." Well we haven't met, but that hardly matters now, does it?

Whatever your party affiliation, this segment should alarm you.  The pending "bailout" bill is a disaster and this presentation of just how much trouble we're in, and the looming disaster our legislators are leading us to should terrify every American.  The only thing it's bailing out are politicians who feel like they have to appear as though they're doing something, when largely they're the ones who created this problem in the first place.

To ban guns because criminals use them is to tell the law-abiding that their rights and liberties depend not on their own conduct, but on the conduct of the guilty and the lawless.

Last week, I received an Email from Chris Christie asking for my support in his bid to run for Governor of New Jersey.  Seems he's a bit out of touch, and I was compelled to reply (as you can see below). A politician's view of the 2nd Amendment is a litmus test for his other views on personal and economic liberty.  It seems Mr. Christie has preordained your fate if you're a gun owner who likes "assault" type rifles.  And I'm sure we can infer what his view on Shall Issue CCW is, from that.

This week, I am officially kicking-off my campaign for Governor of New Jersey.

As your U.S. Attorney for the past seven years, I never shied away from the tough decisions. During my tenure, we relentlessly prosecuted countless public officials for corruption and corporate executives who cheated their workers.   I will use that same hard work and determination to take back New Jersey and once again make our state a place we are proud to call home.
 
We know our government spends too much, borrows too much, and taxes too much. I will hold our government accountable to the people of New Jersey and bring real change to Trenton. I have the experience and the will to make the tough decisions necessary to put our state on the right track.

Mr. Christie, let me refresh your memory for a moment and disabuse you of your position, and why your bid among true conservatives will fail.  Dangerous?  Crazy?  Radical?  On behalf of the NJCSD and every 2nd Amendment advocate, we're offended.  And unlike liberals who don't care about their, or anyone else's freedom, we have long memories.

Thank you for your kind invitation, ironic though it may be.  If your staff did any research on our organization, you'd know that there is no way we, nor any of our members, could support your candidacy due to your position on firearms.
 
I welcome you to visit our website and discussion forums to get the pulse of our membership to see how far out of step you are with our community.  Respectfully, I think you missed the boat.  We're endorsing and supporting Steve Lonegan.

There's an old expression "Be careful what you do, for you may serve as a warning to others."  This past April, two teenagers did what teenagers sometimes do.  Something stupid.

Having been lulled into a state of ignorance and idiocy by a systematic stream of disinformation, misinformation and propaganda by the constant march of anti-gun rhetoric, they decided to perform their own Johnny Knoxville "Jackass" stunt.

Using a very low power .22 round, the one teenager consented to be shot by the other just to see how it felt.  Having donned two pullover sweatshirts and walking out 100 yards, the end result was fairly predictable.  The round slightly penetrated the skin in the back of the one teenager and now the other is facing 10 years as though he murdered a group of school children in cold blood.

Here is our response to the attorney representing the case.

This is just one more artifact of the systematic demonization of firearms by the state in its relentless pursuit of ideology.
